Cookie Notice

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Websites also use similar browser storage. They keep a site working, remember your choices and, with your permission, help a site understand how it is used.
Necessary
Ace Taxis stores one cookie of its own, acetaxis_cookie_preferences, to remember your cookie choice for 6 months. It is always on. The spam check on our contact form, Cloudflare Turnstile, does not store cookies on your device.
Analytics
With your permission, Google Tag Manager (container GTM-K56M3T4Z) loads Google Analytics, which measures visits and how pages are used. Nothing loads until you allow Analytics, and Google’s advertising settings stay off.
External media
The contact page shows a Google Map of our Wickford office only after you allow External media or press Show the map. Google sets its own cookies when the map loads. Withdrawing that choice removes the map.
Cookies we use
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | Type | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
acetaxis_cookie_preferences | Ace Taxis | Remembers your cookie choices so we don’t ask again on every page. | Necessary | 6 months |
_ga | Google Analytics | Tells visits apart so we can count visitors and see how the site is used. | Analytics | 2 years |
_ga_BMYHDSWFPT | Google Analytics | Keeps track of the current visit for our Google Analytics property. | Analytics | 2 years |
Google Maps cookies, such as NID | Set by Google when the map loads, to remember settings and protect its service. | External media | Up to 6 months |
Changing your choice
Use Cookie Settings at the bottom of every page to review or change your choice at any time. Declining is as easy as accepting, and the new choice applies straight away. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings.
